We provided all information regarding access to our house, photographs & measurements and were informed by return the size of truck that would come to pickup and that access would not be a problem
A truck arrived on the date & time expected but it was too big and could not access the house. Amoov proposed to hire a local removal company to shuttle the load from our house to where the truck was parked AT OUR COST, which we politely declined.
Promises were made to send a suitable truck 3 days later.
All this time we had sold the house and the new owners were waiting to move in - with late fees applying every day of delay
The next pickup was also unsuccesful - a suitable truck was not available so again re-organised for 3 days later + remember the late penalty fees !
since a suitable truck was still unavailable, Amoov proposed that we personally hire a small removals van from a local firm, they offered to deduct the cost from our final invoice, and we would pack and shuttle the load to the truck - in desperation we agreed to this, hired the van, took it home, packed it and drove to the parking area of the large truck. WHICH DIDN'T ARRIVE. Explanation - it had broken down !! didn't believe them
So the small van had to be returned to avoid late return fee. Only option was to drive back home and unload back into our house.
The following morning, a local removal firm arrived to load onto 3 small vans and take our belongings to storage
We then informed Amoov that we no longer had any confidence that they were capable of delivering our belongings safely and securely to literally the other side of the world
So currently our goods are in storage at a warehouse and we are trying to end all involvement of Amoov.
We are waiting for an invoice from them - or rather hoping for a refund and compensation in view of the disruption and additional cost we incurred which for reference amount to approximately the same cost as the intial move.
This company completely failed to achieve even the first step of transport despite having all necessary information.
To summarise, we are extremely dissatisfied and would definitely not recommend this company
- as a sidenote, each individual (perhaps with the exception of one) was polite and did try to help. It seems there were staff changes and handover not efficiently handled which led to huge miscommunication and mismanagement. We have no malice towards any individual, but the overall experience with the company was draining, physically, emotionally and financially.

Given the situation and the extremely high costs we incurred we politely requested a full refund.
With reference to the reply to the initial review, Amoov Customer Service dept stated that they accept full accountability for the situation
Yet they are now refusing to refund and stating we are lucky that they are not invoicing us for cancellation costs !
I will emphasis how utterly dissatisfied we are with their service and follow up. It seems all staff are now ignoring phone calls and emails.
